Dinesh Malkani to Head Cisco India

Dinesh replaces Jeff White who is returning to the US to be close to his family.

Dinesh Malkani, VP-Sales, Cisco India & SAARC, reporting to Irving Tan, President for Asia Pacific and Japan will be heading Cisco India.
 
Among other structural changes, Cisco’s official spokesperson confirmed, Amit Phadnis, Vice President, Enterprise Networking Group will expand his role to become the new India Site Leader.

Phadnis replaces Surya Panditi who re-focuses his role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Service Provider Networking Group and will  reports to Rob Soderbery, SVP & GM, Enterprise Networking Group in the US.
 
In addition, Cisco has appointed V C Gopalratnam, Vice President, IT and CIO for Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China, to a newly created role as Chief of Strategy, Planning and Operations for Cisco India. Gopal Ratnam reports to Cisco’s  global CIO Rebecca Jacoby.
 
Dinesh, Amit and Gopal are highly will work closely with the extended leadership team as well as India’s executive sponsors, Wim Elfrink, Executive Vice President, Industry Solutions & Chief Globalisation Officer, and Anil Menon, Senior Vice President, Smart+Connected Communities and Deputy Chief Globalisation Officer, to accelerate customer success through a continued focus on innovation, technical expertise, and delivery excellence.
 
 Malkani has been responsible for driving business for Cisco’s Enterprise, public sector and service provider business across India and SAARC in his present role of Vice President- Sales. In his new role, his responsibility will be to drive alignment, increase customer relevance and enable a faster response to market transitions.
