SAP AG today announced the appointment of Suprakash Chaudhuri as Managing Director,
SAP India & Subcontinent. He will be responsible for all market-facing activities across the
field organization, overseeing customer operations as well as general management like sales,
consulting, partner ecosystem expansion and marketing.
The SAP leadership team expressed great appreciation for the business and market leadership
Chaudhuri provided as the acting MD for SAP India since 3Q 2012, said Steve Watts,
President, SAP Asia-Pacific Japan. India with over 4,900 customers has become one of the best
performing businesses. Suprakash, in his new role as MD, will continue to drive SAPs strategic
innovation roadmap and shape and sustain our industry leadership position in India.
A veteran with 18 years of industry experience, Chaudhuri has been associated with SAP for six
years. He has been a key leader at SAP India since 2008, leading Enterprise Sales business units
and in 2012 became the Head of SAPs Database and Technology business for India. Under his
leadership, the team brought a solution-centric go-to-market approach to drive revenue and build
multiple selfsustaining businesses around SAPs solution portfolio, across all market segments.
He has also been instrumental in driving some of the large customer wins for SAP with concrete
business strategies.

Chaudhuri holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and is a Post Graduate in Business
Management from IMT Ghaziabad. A keen sportsman, he is an active participant in the SAP
Corporate Cricket team.
